ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ආසන්නයේ පැවති පහළ වායුගෝලීය කැළඹිලි තත්ත්වය, අඩු පීඩන කලාපයක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වී ඇත. මෙම පද්ධතියේ බලපෑම හේතුවෙන්, අද දිනයේදී දිවයින පුරා මෙන්ම දිවයින අවට ගැඹුරු සහ නොගැඹුරු මුහුදු ප්‍රදේශවලද වැසි තත්ත්වය වැඩි වනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.
මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් කාලගුණ විද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් නිකුත් කරනු ලබන ඉදිරි අනාවැකි සහ නිවේදන පිළිබඳව අවධානයෙන් පසුවන ලෙස ධීවර සහ නාවුක ප්‍රජාව ඇතුළු මහජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිනු ලැබේ.
බස්නාහිර, සබරගමුව, මධ්‍යම, උතුර, වයඹ සහ දකුණු පළාත්වලත්, අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේත් විටින් විට වැසි හෝ ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි ඇති වන අතර, එම ප්‍රදේශවල අහස වලාකුලින් බරව පවතිනු ඇත.
දිවයිනේ සෙසු ප්‍රදේශවල පස්වරු 1.00න් පසුව වැසි හෝ ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි ඇති විය හැක.
බස්නාහිර, සබරගමුව, දකුණු සහ වයඹ පළාත්වල ඇතැම් ස්ථානවලට මි.මී. 100 ට වැඩි තද වැසි ඇති විය හැක.
ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි සමග ඇතිවිය හැකි තාවකාලික තද සුළං වලින් සහ අකුණු මඟින් සිදු වන අනතුරු අවම කර ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය පියවර ගන්නා ලෙස ජනතාවගෙන් කාරුණිකව ඉල්ලා සිටිනු ලැබේ.
මධ්‍යම සහ ඌව පළාත්වල ඇතැම් ස්ථානවල අළුයම් කාලයේදී මීදුම් සහිත තත්ත්වයක් පැවතිය හැක.

The low level atmospheric disturbance near Sri Lanka has developed into a low-pressure area. Under the influence of this system, an enhancement of rainfall is expected over the island and the deep and shallow sea areas around the island during today.
The general public, as well as the naval and fishing communities, are requested to be attentive to the future forecasts and bulletins issued by the Department of Meteorology in this regard.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northern, North-western and Southern provinces and in Anuradhapura district and cloudy skies can be expected over these areas.
Showers or thunder showers will occur after 1.00 p.m. elsewhere of the island.
Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.
